If you would like to borrow an item from another school speak with the library media specialist. Library Hours: The school library media center is opened during school hours. Computer Use: There are 6 computers avaliable in the library to access information and take AR tests. Students do need to ask permission when accessing the Internet.
Library Cards:
All students and staff at Somers Elementary have a library card for
the current school year which is kept in the library media center. Any
parents who would like to check out materials may also be issued a
library card by talking with the library media specialist. Students may
check out 1-5 items depending on grade level. Materials may be checked
out for one week.
Renewals:
Materials may be renewed for another week. Simply bring the material
that you wish to renew into the library media center and re-check it
out.
Holds:
If you would like an item that is currently checked out simply ask the
library media specialist and she can but a hold on the item for you.
You will be notified when your item comes in.
