What is Battle of the Books?

Battle of the Books is a friendly and fun competition that students read approximately 30 books. Students will then compete in a competition against various schools in the Kenosha area. The competition will consist of questions about the text and illustrations in each of the books.

How can I be on Somer's Battle Team?
Somer's battle team for this year will hold tryouts starting the end of October. All fourth and fifth grade students may try out.

Battle of the Books Dates:

Battles will be held at Mahone Middle School. Dates are still being established for the 2009 battles.
