A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2006-2007 school year! Your interest and support in our school and its activities plays an important part in your child’s success at school. You are encouraged to take an active role in your child’s education. We maximize your child’s educational success when the school and your home work cooperatively. Somers Elementary owes much of its success to the support we receive from our families.
This handbook you’re about to read has been designed as a means of communication between your home and our school. It is our intention that it be used as a reference for you as we progress through the year. The pages of this handbook are full of information that you will find useful about Somers Elementary School. The guidelines set forth are authorized under the “Policies and Procedures, Rules and Regulations” of the Kenosha Unified School District.
As always, if you should have any questions as the year progresses, please do not hesitate to contact the school. I believe that your help and cooperation in guiding your children will help to provide experiences that are practical, meaningful, and memorable. It is an honor and a privilege to work with your family...together we can accomplish greatness!
